Vacuum Infusion Carbon Fiber Cloth

Optimized weave architecture for uniform resin distribution in closed-mold processes

Vacuum Infusion Carbon Fiber Cloth is specifically engineered to facilitate rapid, uniform resin flow during vacuum-assisted resin transfer molding (VARTM) and infusion processes. The fabric incorporates a balanced weave with controlled permeability, allowing resin to wet-out the reinforcement completely while maintaining a fiber volume fraction of 55%–60% in the final laminate. Surface treatments are tailored to minimize flow-front disturbances and reduce micro-void formation. The cloth is compatible with low-viscosity epoxy, vinyl ester, and polyester resin systems, and is available in areal weights ranging from 200 to 800 g/m². This product is designed for large-scale structural components where process reliability and laminate quality are critical.

Common Process Questions

How to avoid race-tracking along edges? Apply tacky tape or edge sealant; place flow media at least 20 mm from edges.
What is the optimal fiber volume fraction? Target 55% – 60% for balanced mechanical properties; adjust via compaction pressure.
Can this cloth be used with epoxy tooling resins? Yes. High-temperature epoxy systems (150 °C Tg) are compatible; verify sizing cure schedule.
How to store infused cloth after opening? Re-seal in moisture-barrier bag with desiccant; use within 7 days of opening.
