12k Carbon Fiber Cloth
12k Carbon Fiber Cloth utilizes a larger tow count of 12,000 continuous filaments per bundle, delivering a cost-effective reinforcement solution for high-build structural applications. The increased tow size reduces weaving costs and accelerates layup times by covering more surface area per ply compared to 3k or 6k fabrics. The cloth maintains a tensile strength of 3500 – 3800 MPa and a modulus of 225 – 235 GPa, suitable for industrial, marine, and wind energy components. Available in plain, twill, and unidirectional weaves, with areal weights from 300 to 800 g/m². The fabric exhibits lower drape than finer tow counts, making it best suited for flat to moderately curved surfaces.
