The 3k tow size strikes an ideal balance — fine enough for cosmetic applications, yet robust enough for structural parts. Available in plain, twill, and satin weaves with areal weights from 160 to 400 g/m². This fabric is compatible with all standard resin systems including epoxy, polyester, vinyl ester, and phenolic resins. 3k offers the best balance of performance, handling, and cost. It provides good strength and stiffness, excellent drape, and a fine enough weave for cosmetic applications. It's versatile enough for both structural and aesthetic uses, making it the default choice for most composite applications.

Plain weave for maximum stability and flat panel applications. Twill weave for a premium cosmetic finish and good drape. Satin weaves (4HS, 8HS) for complex contours and the smoothest surface finish. Choose based on the geometry of your part and your surface finish requirements.

Yes. 3k fabric is well-suited for vacuum infusion. The moderate tow size allows good resin flow while maintaining fiber alignment. Use flow media as needed for large panels. Recommended resin viscosity: 80–300 cP at injection temperature.

With vacuum bagging: 50% – 55%. With autoclave or compression molding: 55% – 60%. The fine 3k tows allow good compaction and uniform resin distribution.

Store in the original moisture-barrier packaging at 15–28°C and ≤ 60% relative humidity. Shelf life is 18 months from the date of manufacture. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and UV light.
