Twill Weave Carbon Kevlar Fabric is a premium hybrid reinforcement that combines high-strength carbon fiber with aramid (Kevlar) fiber in a balanced 2×2 twill weave. This unique construction delivers the exceptional tensile strength and stiffness of carbon fiber (3500–4200 MPa) paired with the outstanding impact resistance, toughness, and abrasion resistance of Kevlar. The twill weave provides excellent drape and a distinctive diagonal pattern that is visually appealing. Available in 3k carbon / 1000d Kevlar fiber configurations with areal weights from 200 to 400 g/m². This hybrid fabric is ideal for applications requiring both high strength and damage tolerance — including aerospace, automotive, marine, and ballistic protection.

Yes. The fabric is compatible with epoxy, vinyl ester, and polyester resin systems. Epoxy provides the best mechanical properties and adhesion to both carbon and Kevlar fibers. Ensure the resin's strain-to-failure matches the hybrid fiber system for optimal performance.

The Kevlar component provides additional toughness that can make cutting more challenging than pure carbon fabric. Use sharp shears, a hot-knife, or ultrasonic cutter. The Kevlar fibers may fuzz at cut edges — sealing with tape or heat can prevent edge fraying.

Yes. The twill weave provides good permeability for vacuum infusion. Recommended resin viscosity: 80–250 cP. Use flow media to ensure complete wet-out of both fiber types. The hybrid nature may require slightly higher injection pressure.
